The Miami Valley Symphony Orchestra (“MVSO,” “we”) respects your privacy. This policy explains what information we collect through mvso.org and how we use it.
Information you give us
- Email sign-ups. When you subscribe to our newsletter, we collect your email address and any other details you choose to share. Our email service, VerticalResponse, stores this list for us. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link in any email.
- Donations. Online gifts are processed by PayPal. We receive your name, contact details and gift amount so we can send a receipt and thank you. We never see or store your full card number.
- Tickets. When MVSO sells tickets directly, we use CUR8, which collects the information needed to complete your order under its own privacy policy (cur8.com/privacy-policy). CUR8 shares purchasers’ contact details with us, including name, email address, phone number and address when provided, along with order details such as seats and amounts. We use this to manage our concerts and to reach you about your order. CUR8 processes payments, so we never see or store your card number. For some concerts, tickets are sold by the host venue through its own box office, such as the Arbogast Performing Arts Center. The venue’s privacy policy applies to those purchases, and we use any buyer information a venue shares with us only for the purposes described in this policy.
- Youth program registration. Parents and guardians register students through an online form provided by Jotform. We use this information only to run the program and contact families.
- Messages. If you email or call us, we keep your message so we can respond.
Information collected automatically
We use cookies and similar tools to understand how visitors use our site and to measure our outreach.
- Google Analytics and Google Ads measure site visits and actions such as ticket clicks, sign-ups and donations.
- Meta Pixel helps us measure and reach people on Facebook and Instagram who have visited our site.
These tools may collect your IP address, browser type, pages visited and similar technical data. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, manage Google ad personalization in Google’s My Ad Center, and manage Facebook ad preferences in your Facebook settings.
How we use information
We use it to process gifts and send receipts, send the concert news you asked for, run our youth programs, answer your questions and improve our website and outreach.
Sharing
We do not sell or rent your personal information. We share it only with the service providers named above, which act on our behalf, or when required by law.
Children’s privacy
Our website is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information online directly from them. Youth program registrations are completed by a parent or guardian.
Links to other sites
Our site links to services such as PayPal, CUR8, venue box offices, Kroger and Dorothy Lane Market. Their own privacy policies apply when you visit them.
Keeping information safe
We take reasonable steps to protect the information we hold, and we keep it only as long as we need it for the purposes above or as required by law.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time and will post the new version here with its effective date.
